[ It feels nice, like this. The space actually helps her feel a bit more normal. Lets her lean back into the puppy love and not think about all the big, heavy stuff swirling around them. ]
So you can draw. And you can play music. What else can you do that I don't know about yet?
[ "What else do you do that makes you incredibly attractive, Ellie? Fess up." ]
[Ellie huffs out a breath. Glimmer can't see her smiling, but it comes through in her voice. She's always been a sucker for praise; but then, so were all the kids she knew growing up.]
I can paint. I'm pretty good at rigging explosives. And I'm not half bad at archery.
[She's got nothing on Bow, for sure, but it's been more than enough to keep her alive.]
Archery? Why are the people I fall for all into archery?
[ Glimmer laughs again. It feels good just to talk. It's all out in the open and she feels so much lighter now, like she isn't concealing some awful secret. ]
There's a joke in there somewhere. 'Your arrows might be straight but I'm not?'
[Ellie tries to groan aloud, but she really can't help dissolving into laughter. She actually hasn't heard that one before, if it can be believed.]
I'm gonna need to remember that one.
[And Ellie pauses for a second, racking her memory- Glimmer's mentioned Bow several times, but only aloud, and she'd assumed it was Bo, which is a name she's actually familiar with.
... but Glimmer's world has her, a literally sparkly royal with magic, and Catra, who is literally part Cat, and now she's talking about someone into archery-]
So Bow's name is literally bow, like a bow and arrow?
Uh... I mean yeah? Bow's dads expected him to be a historian just like them. And my dad's name was Micah. And Bow's dad's are named George and Lance. Pretty sure there was a Horde soldier named Kyle?
[Ellie really can't help but laugh out loud. It makes her way into her next words, which sound more than a little openly curious. And it's a safer topic than their mutual interest in each other.]
From what you've told me about him he seems like an awesome guy.
[The kind of person that Glimmer really should be going for, in Ellie's opinion -- she's not trying to put herself down, just. Appreciating what she's heard about him. She can't dislike the dude.]
That's- kind of how it is, isn't it? You think you're friends until one day, you look at them and it's just-
[A laugh bubbles up through her words, only barely catching at the edges. It's taken a long time to move on, to tell herself that it's okay. It hurts, but it feels good to talk about her, too. Somebody should know about Riley.]

Uh, yeah. What else would it be?
1/2
2/2
Don't take this the wrong way-
Does anyone in your world get named, like... Blackfang or Angelknives and then it turns out they're really into just... I don't know. Baking?

... so you're into him, huh?

...Yeah. He's kinda been my best friend since we were kids. My only friend for a long time.
I think at some point I just realized that he was important to me in a different way than I'd thought.

[ Bummer. But she pushes through it. ]
Yeah! Exactly! It was just like this switch, kinda. You know... oh.

[Ellie lets out a rusty laugh. The sting has finally started to go out of the memory.]
She took me on a whole-ass date and I didn't even realize it. I thought kissing her was my own half-baked idea.

[ Glimmer breaks into giggles. ]
That must have been so awkward.

[ Glimmer's laughter subsides a little as she sprawls out on the bed. There's a faint sigh. ]
...I haven't actually had my first kiss yet.

Not for lack of people wanting to, I bet.
