Uh... I mean yeah? Bow's dads expected him to be a historian just like them. And my dad's name was Micah. And Bow's dad's are named George and Lance. Pretty sure there was a Horde soldier named Kyle?

[Ellie really can't help but laugh out loud. It makes her way into her next words, which sound more than a little openly curious. And it's a safer topic than their mutual interest in each other.]

...Yeah. He's kinda been my best friend since we were kids. My only friend for a long time.

I think at some point I just realized that he was important to me in a different way than I'd thought.

She took me on a whole-ass date and I didn't even realize it. I thought kissing her was my own half-baked idea.

[ Glimmer's laughter subsides a little as she sprawls out on the bed. There's a faint sigh. ]
